I tested it, and both the buttons and remote control work. The remote control controls power, fan speed, and lighting intensity. The fan has 4 levels, and the lighting can be turned off or on in 3 levels. You can hang it from the tent ceiling and turn off both the lights and power with just the remote control. You can turn on the light without using the fan. It's great value for money. I hope it charges well and doesn't break down.

Pressing and holding the switch turns on the fan, and then short pressing adjusts the speed up to 3 levels. The triangular base is light like a toy, so it can also be pushed back. The lighting also has three levels, not very bright but just right.
